Hi and welcome to Creation's website. I hope you find here a flavour for the kind of work that I do and the companies I do it for.

What I believe to be true

I'm in the business of branding. Enough has been written about branding - some of it very good - without me adding to it. But if I can shed any light on the subject it is this:

The key to successful brands is essentially this: discover your difference, find a compelling way of visually and verbally expressing it and communicate it consistently to the market.

Branding is fun - it's an opportunity for your company to present itself in a fresh way that captures people's imagination. Branding also requires a bit of faith and a bit of risk. If you're too cautious your individuality will be watered down and you'll look like everyone else. On the other hand, overstate your case and your message loses credibility. It's about getting the mix right and that's where I can help.

No prima donnas here!

Over the last 18 years I've worked with companies both big (VW Group) and small (Guitar Gallery) - international and here in New Zealand. I have a good understanding of the realities of business and what makes them tick. I'll push for an idea if I think it has merit but I'm not precious about my own work - I'm creative but pragmatic!
